Background
Braulio´s ancestry
Born and raised in Cartagena de Indias, Braulio's family origins are linked to the three main ethnical groups of the region.
His ancestors origins include Native South Amerindians from the Caribbean Region of Colombia, specifically the Zenú Indigenous Tribe. Afro descendant origins from people brought into slavery to the colonial city, and Spanish Andalusian Worker class descendants from colonizers.

Braulio's Father, Alberto E. Monsalve (1961 - 2009) was a very highly reputable Professor of the Service of National Apprenticeship SENA, who inspired him the passion and love for the city and its history. Since 2008, Braulio started guiding excursions to the Santa Marta and Barranquilla City. In less than one year he graduates and another year to get the Professional License, in 2014 gets the Aquila International Tour Guide Certification of Excellence. Over 15 years experience make him be one of the Best Tour Guides in Cartagena the Indias.
Education
Braulio Speaks Three Languages
As most people in Colombia, Braulio was raised under Catholic School Education, nonetheless, as a grown up he is developed a more critical and philosophical perspective of the traditions and folklore linked to the city and the country history of colony and independence. B.A in Modern Languages of the St. Buenaventura University, allow Braulio to perform explanations in English, French and his native Spanish Language.
Hobbies
Music, Karate, and Sports.
A lovely father of two boys, Braulio is devoutly given to his children. Also a Musician and a Martial Arts passionate student since child, allow him to have a particular comprehension of his own culture as an arts lover. Braulio loves playing violin, bass and piano, teaching his own children and sometimes volunteering teaching in villages around Cartagena. His passion for sports made him reach a 2nd place in National Championship of Halterofilia, 2007. He keeps working out to properly perform his work as a guide.
